Steve Puppe began his photography experience mentoring with photographers at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. There he discovered creativity and capturing people in photography. He took that experience with him as he began a career in journalism. Working for newspapers gave him an appreciation for tight deadlines and gave him the opportunity to cover a wide variety of assignments. With high competition night in and night out Steve had to find different ways to photograph news events and portraits. After working with several papers and developing skills in capturing real life images he went back to the studio and spent time working as an in-house photographer for an advertising agency. Clients at the ad agency ranged from corporate, industrial, medical and editorial. Having a degree in advertising and being an experienced graphic designer gave Steve Puppe a better understanding of art director's needs such as how the image will fit into a design as well as coming up with image ideas of his own. Now in business for himself Kansas City photographer Steve Puppe offers a full range of photographic services.
